Last year I read Gardens of the Moon, the first book of this saga (Malazan Book Of The Fallen), and I wouldn't say I liked it. That didn't change, but I decided to give the saga another opportunity because a co-worker spoke highly about it, and I'm glad I did. The second book is excellent. Still confusing at times, but I kept up with the story. Sure, I still don't understand things (what happened in the Silanda), but I can live with that. I'll move on to the third book!
